NewzAlert Composer can function in either of two modes. Publish via FTP When publishing via this method, NewzAlert Composer is also referred to as being in Standalone mode, as it is a fully self-contained method of creating, maintaining and publishing RSS feeds. Each time a feed is published, a static XML file is created and uploaded to the server of your choice using FTP (File Transfer Protocol). Publish via NewzAlert Composer Server When publishing via this method, NewzAlert Composer is also referred to as being in Servermode, as it works by communicating with special NewzAlert Composer Server software installed on your server. Each time a feed is published, the client program communicates across the Internet with the server software and updates only changed topics and feed information.
